This client was upgrading/converting their boiler and needed the chimney brought up to code. As requested we proposed replacing the chimney using a new double wall external stack.

We installed a gas tight clean out at the base of the chimney as required by NYC Department of Buildings.

We obtained a scaffold permit and erected 75 feet of scaffold to access the work area for the duration of the project.

We connected the new chimney lining to the existing breeching using a custom fabricated carbon steel transition piece.

Once the new stack was installed we performed the NYC DOB required pressurized smoke testing and were able to issue the chimney affidavit for the NYC Dept. of Buildings and Con-Ed
