Chimney Lining

This client needed to reline the boiler chimney for the upgrade/conversion of their heating system.

We obtained permits from Westchester County

For the boiler chimney lining we installed 95’ of 26” diameter 304 ASTM listed butt seam welded 10gage stainless steel pipe.

We installed a steel base plate at the bottom of the chimney.

We furnished and installed a gas tight cleanout and drain at bottom of chimney lining as required by the New York City Department of Buildings.

We connected the existing breeching into the newly installed lining at the base of the chimney wall using a custom fabricated tee.

We installed scaffold on the main roof for access to the top of the chimney for the duration of the project.

Once the lining was installed we fabricated and installed a custom chase cover for the top of the chimney.

Once the new lining and extension was installed we performed the NYC DOB required pressurized smoke testing and were able to issue the chimney affidavit for the NYC Dept. of Buildings and Con-Edison
