New External Stack

This building needed a new chimney installed on the exterior of the building. They were upgrading/converting their heating system and the old chimney was not usable.
We obtained plans and permits and installed a 10gage stainless steel chimney for the boiler.
We replaced and rerouted the breeching from the boiler chimney to the base of the new chimney. We fabricated and installed a custom connector to join the boiler breeching and new external stack.
The new external stack run up the side of the building and terminated 3 feet above the parapet on the roof per the NYC DOB requirement.
Once the new boiler breeching and the new chimney stack were installed we performed a pressurized smoke test and were able to issue the chimney affidavit for the NYC DOB and Con- Edison.
